Give me tomorrow
I was getting anywhere, but your heart
I sent you messages with poems, with intention to forget
And I want you say one thing before I go
Chorus 1:
Give me tomorrow, say the word
Give me tomorrow, it's not a lot
I'm gonna hear it all this night
before I go
Say that tomorrow you'll be mine
give me tomorrow, make me feel fine
I would like to hear your voice
before I go
I was walking down the river
I was flying down the sky
when I lost you in the desert of my mind
I still hunt for the shadows
so I need the sun so much
and I need to hear your words
before I go
Chorus 2:
Give me tomorrow. It's not too hard.
Give me tomorrow, be so smart.
Don't you believe that the sun is gone
a long time ago?
Say that tomorrow is made for us. Give me tomorrow
like no one does.
Oh honey, obey only once
before I go!
We were sleeping on the highway
we were living in the crash
Then darkness dropped like the curtain of the night
We were swimming like the sharks
in the ocean of our love
so I can't be fixed tonight
before I go
Chorus 3:
Give me tomorrow, if you can.
Please promise tomorrow as a promised land.
There is nothing but a hope
before I go
Give me tomorrow, you just try
I need your "tomorrow"
though you may lie
I need nothing but this word
before I go
I was told the end is coming
I was told our time is gone
but it’s always been a middle of the end.
So you got to push the enter
please honey move your hand
because darkness is coming soon
and I got to go
Chorus 1:
2002
P.S. Only when I was done (9.06.2016) with the new edition of the words of this song, I decided to resort to Internet search engine and check out who else wrote songs with this name. The name is not trivial, so I was curious about the results. It turned out that YouTube has at least three "Give Me Tomorrow"s : some Japanese (?) band, whose name is written in hieroglyphs, so I did not identify it, a group called Roomers and an American folk-alt rocker Willie Nile. It seems that I am in good company.
