It's useful, in the middle of life,
To get through losses and upsets,
While still in power and alive,
To lose not health but just assets.
It's time to stop and think in peace:
What is the real treasure trove,
Avoiding sorrowful abyss,
When your finances're getting rough.
And you may suddenly arrive
At very simple, well-known truth -
That's very easy to derive:
Your dear mother, words, and love.
