In separation, what can help me cope
With need to feel your presence every moment?
What drives me still is my sincere hope
That loneliness again can be postponed.
We'll meet again for more of joyful time,
It will continue our happy years
Before submitting into sad decline,
Though waiting often tortures more than scares.
Anticipating very certain end, -
So far unknown date of final rupture -
I know, I will loose my dear friend;
Meanwhile, I treasure days until departure.
The lonesome future is for everyone,
To die alone - and nothing can be done.
