The modern world keeps praising modern trade:
It gives prosperity and satisfaction.
Big capital's spectacularly made
To advertise the unconstrain'd consumption.
Entrepreneurs are new examples for crowds;
The culture is no more a common treasure;
Skyscrapers grow as high as highest clouds
And bank accounts are the merit measure.
Where are the heroes of the recent past?
How have we left the heights of human spirit?
The filthy wealth is brainless to disgust,
It honours greed, and venerates and swears it.
It's sad to see how values've been replaced,
As money-grabbing has an ugly face.
