I Woke Up Today, To Joseph Brodsky
Lonely but OK.
Two lines not of pray
Washed my grief away.
It was Belfast tune
Beating in my mind,
It was, Joseph, you,
Sitting by my side –
In the sky, the sky!
Not this world at all!
Dactyl 2 and half –
Carol, Martial Law:
“All my polish friends
Are behind steel bars'.
And your poet-friend
Without you may die!
