I had no hope, love, whatsoever
You would preserve those tawdry verses.
But so you did; YOU DID, however!!!
And feelings resurrect from fossils.
I won`t believe you were just joking
When said: “I still appreciate `em”
This observation left me choking
As if `t were life-returning statement.
It was to me so unexpected,
So flattering and thought-astraying.
I couldn`t but be again affected
By voice of yours, your eyes and hair.
Old flame`s been brought to life; oh, Lord!
I wish o`r hearts beat in accord!
