Nowhere Land
My bedroom wall I walked through was the door
To the peculiar city glowing brighter than the sun.
There was nothing special I looked for,
In such a great mood I wandered just for fun.
Oops! I ran into a lady on the street,
But I said 'Hi' to her in place of my excuse.
She smiled back at me; it was her way to greet
A happy traveller who was a bit confused.
Four jolly guys were smoking the stuff.
They called me, “Join us and you’ll be taught to fly!”
I laughed at them for their flight was just a bluff,
“No thanks, I wouldn't think of being your ally”.
A cloudy grey substance floated the air,
And the illumined city went as a bizarre mirage.
I looked up in the sky — it was still quiet and fair,
Only two fighters flashed into a barrage.
When I was going back to my familiar end
The ball of light emerged beside my bare feet.
I left in haste that undefined and fancy land.
To stay there longer I was too discreet.
