Ballade about The Little Man
Р.Рождественский.
(перевод)
On the earth,
Cruelly little,
There lived, once, a man.
Little...
And the man had a job.
Little...
And a miserably little post.
And the profit, he had,
Was little...
And once,
In a nice morning,

War...
He was given a gun.
Little...
He was given high boots.
Little...
He was given a helmet.
Little...
And a little in size
Greatcoat...

Improperly,
In assaulting yellings
Had turned his mouth out,
Firmly, all the earth
Was too short of marble
To hack out the fellow
In his real height...
