I forgot what “trust” means
I had no hope
Nor dreams
But incidental meeting
Let to a simple change
To a new life
To a new goals
And you were near
Every step of the way
You guided and saved
You helped and inspired
You never betrayed
Or let down
Never had doubts
Never lost faith
You always knew somehow
That I would make it
That I was capable of doing it
That I won’t turn back
It wasn’t simple
As people might think
But every defeat on the way
Was nothing due to the victory
That we both had
For that I’m thankful for
For that I pray to God
For that I kiss you every night
