Shares are rallying on the glimmer of hope
Businesses are counting future profits
From the treaty achieved after a new conflagration
Culminating in talks talks talks
This is a new road map to stability
Underpinned by the humidity of the ink
On the paper signed by the involved parties
Or their patrons who are denying direct involvement
In the effort to advance their cause
And extend their reach in protecting the innocent
Who disregard the sovereignty of another state
Already divided in dominions
In the plans of strategists who are thinking big
This truce brings an opportunity
That should not be missed by anyone
Whose interests are at stake
In selling more peaceful products and services
While the cannons keep silent
And increasingly lethal weapons are being smuggled in
Harbingers of an all-out war
