Farewell

Sharp memories breaking this moment of silence
Are covering us with cruelty and violence
Our river of tears through this winter will flow
We came to the point when there’s nowhere to go.

We hoped for the future enlightened by stars
But ended up having on hearts endless scars
I complained ‘There’s no sun’. You said ‘I have mine.
You only keep smiling and don’t cease to shine’.

You worshiped my lips. I cherished your lashes
But all that we had has turned into ashes
To you I entrusted my lame wounded heart
But you were afraid and you broke it apart.

I always was scared you’d leave me alone
And my heart would forever change into stone
The February cold is now savagely wrapping
However I hope that we both will be happy.

You said I was lying. You doubted my love
But  the feeling I had was miles above
By silently weeping I’m killing my sadness
And hope, what we’ve done is just pure madness

Love is still burning between our souls
Our hearts are on fire. But we have to play roles
And we may pretend that this is the end
There’s one thing for sure –
We’ll never forget.
