Going to Sleep
Would last a nighttime long,
Shall kiss each other, and dismiss
Your brain, meek, but strong.
In drowsiness, without wars,
You’ll sink, releasing all,
Another world you can endorse
By looming through the wall
Of consciousness. You'll meet the mist
And may your eyes be locked!
You'll grasp the sights that you had missed,
Neglect the cunning clock.
Though you're alone, your pain unknown
To others, you may sleep,
Tomorrow then can be your own,
Above steep cliffs you'll leap.
So, greet great ease into your life,
Embrace this sweet warm bed,
And wait until fine dreams arrive:
They'll come true, I can bet.
