From behind the dusty curtain of my age
I am staring with my burning eyes
At the youth that's taking to the stage
Them my tortured heart to follow tries
Sadly is my wisdom insufficient
To avoid this insecure edge –
For my start was not enough ambitious
As to smash a glass or burn a bridge
