Esther Rolle – a gifted actress in film, television & stage.
She gained her recognition and popularity at a later age.
Rolle’s loyal to her roots and advocated for Black people,
Although it had not been at times so easy and/or simple.

Esther conveyed as kind, compassionate, loving & caring.
She was determined, willed, courageous, strong & daring.
Acting & singing won her Emmy with pride and modesty.
Rolle showed versatility, hard work, creativity & honesty.

Incredible was her dedication to craft, she did her best.
With her strong presence, Rolle had fulfilled her quest.
In Good Times, Maude she had portrayed daily reality.
Esther had striven for justice, fairness & social equality.

November 8th – birthday of Esther Rolle whom we praise.
Her contribution to entertainment - priceless, she’s ace.
Colleagues & fans expressed respect, love, appreciation.
A woman of values & integrity deserves our admiration.
