Changing times – fleeting rhymes
Autumn leaves – summer thieves
Polite please – gritted teeth
Unexpected goodbyes –
long-term pain, strangled cries.
Long-awaited in vain
Empty hearts
Silly games.
Humbled No
Cruel Yes
Twisted paths of success.
Hidden sins on the rims
Of the childish regress
Shameful truths without use
Killing time – bending spine
Angry spite shining bright
Strength to fight – keep it tight.
Thirst to write could be right
Open mind – fierce delight
Merging souls of moonlight
-
All that night in its might.
Yet to come rays of light
And the morn of the Sun.

Hallo!Thanks for your poem. All this is what I was thinking about recently, except one thing. Could you explain why "Humbled No,Cruel Yes"?

Why, you're asking. Thank you for your question, by the way. For me this part has more than one meaning. Usually when we talk about love, No is treated as negative and Yes as positive. Here I try to play around the contradiction of the usual meaning and my intended one.
Sometimes a humble person could say no to something he/she doesn't think he/she deserves to do, could say no to unwanted success. At the same time when a person in office has some kind of power only he/she decides when and how to use, it could lead to corruption and cruelty while exercising this power. Such a person could turn into someone who gives approval, says yes to the outright evil things he/she could prevent.
But if you want to put your own meaning in there, it will work out just fine. The phrase is intentionally vague, so that it had a lot of space for the thoughts of different people.
I hope it wasn’t too long and boring of an explanation. Thank you once more for your attention to my verses.
