Redemption

In morose and moist September,
Haunted by atrocious embers,
Damned to suffer. Couldn’t flee,
There were only we.
***
In my church of rain and sadness,
Shattered hopes and sheer madness,
Wrapped in silence, doomed to die,
There was only I.
***
In your sacred house of wrath,
Covered with a pale cloth,
In a dim autumnal hue,
There was only you.
***
Now between my temple of pain
And your castle of disdain
Lies a depth of void and grief
With no love and no belief.
***
Tolls the bell beneath the beam -
Will it soon my soul redeem?
Will the moon show me the way
To your fortress of disdain?
***
Devil’s dancing for the rite
In the middle of the night.
Laughing at my tearful face,
Sparkling angels fall from grace.
***
Our love’s a deadly sin.
There’s no mercy and redeem.
Hide in autumn. Run away!
For your soul I’ll always pray.
***
Wrapped in anguish, doomed to die,
No more you. There’s only I.
