Madman

I guess I've been a madman all my life,
I've tried to find a heart, so kind, so pure,
But all I did was running from my lie
Escaping from my crimes, this scaring truth.

I tried to see a wisdom in your eyes,
But found only guilt not to atone,
I'm blind, forgotten, searching for my rhyme
The one I dreamt and lost so long ago.

I'm here, again, still playing this old role,
My mask became a truly face of mine.
You were my best – you'll never walk alone,
But not with me, it's time to say goodbye.

I guess I've been a fool for all my life,
I've tried to find this silence in the storm,
But all I did was looking for a sign, –
The way 've been led astray of long ago.
