I ran away from my pain at last...
Or so I thought... But I'm not that fast...
Some things in life we can not outrun...
So let me face them! I'll turn around!
I'll look them straight in all-knowing eyes ...
I'll see the blessings beneath disguise ...
I shall embrace what is there for me
To bravely face and I'll humbly kneel
Before the sight of undying love
That has been sent to me from above
To give me strength, help me grow, help me learn
That nothing's granted, we do have to earn
Each bit of wisdom and blissful joy..
I shall rebuild what was once destroyed...
I will repair my, still beating, heart!
And every day that we spend apart
I will spend praying that love we share
Transcends the Time and shall always be there!

It is only worth loving so self-sacrificually if there is the same kind of feeling which is being delivered by the subject of love, which is a very rare occurance these days.
Yes,love may elevate you to the peaks of happiness as it may throw you down to the enferno of distruction.
