It's not that easy being loved.
I hide behind the shadows,
I hold back.
You never asked, I never told.
There's so much more
behind that peaceful mask
There is, there were…
I can't reveal.
If I would let you see
the real me,
the other side, my darker side…
Even a glimpse might be enough,
might be too much
for fragile love.
And so I live in fear,
and hide and slowly die inside
to keep that one good thing,
the only ray of light
still keeping me alive.
