Ardent
Right there, where you stood,
I'd paint you dark and bright,
I'd cloak you in your light.
I'd soothe your inner beast,
I'd take you west and east,
I'd watch you in your sleep,
I'd sow for you to reap.
I'd turn back tidal waves,
I'd wander in your caves,
I'd draw your halo back,
I'd cover up your track.
I'd let you fly the storm,
I'd reconstruct your form,
I'd show your blind eyes dawn
But you're already gone.
