Neo-Nazi leaders holding Ukraine captive Analyst

Press TV has conducted an interview with investigative journalist Wayne
Madsen to talk about the situation in Ukraine.
What follows is a rush transcript of the interview.
Press TV: Many thanks for joining us here on Press TV, Mr. Madsen. Now,
things are heating up in Crimea, of course, but looking at the whole picture,
what would you pinpoint as the main factors that have led us to the point
where we are today?
Madsen: Well, the biggest factor is that there was an agreement between
Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and the European Union (EU) to hold
elections and the Ukrainian opposition, which includes a lot of neo-Nazi
groups, including Svoboda and another even more radical right-wing group
called Right Sector decided to start firing on policemen in Maidan Square in
Kiev, triggering the ouster of - at least temporary ouster of - the legitimate
president of Ukraine and that’s Yanukovych, who had to seek safety in
Russia and he effectively is leading a government in exile now in Russia.
Much like the US used to recognize governments in exile in Estonia, Latvia,
and Lithuania.
So, basically, Ukraine has become a captive nation not only of the
World Bank and this puppet Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, but
also of neo-Nazis.
So, it’s a neo-Nazi World Bank mixed with a few Zionists in this new
government. It’s not representative certainly of all the people of Ukraine,
most assuredly not representative of the ethnic Russians who live in eastern
Ukraine and make up a majority in Crimea. And of course Russia has a
bilateral military agreement with Ukraine that allows it to maintain security
for its Black Sea naval base in Ukraine and so that’s the poll in the
autonomous Republic of Crimea, which now is not recognizing the authorities
in Kiev. So, we have, basically, an autonomous republic that is exercising its
right of self-determination in deciding not to recognize the usurpers and
fascists who have taken over the government in Kiev and they are not
insignificant.
I listened to al-Jazeera and we have to understand al-Jazeera takes their
marching orders from the Muslim Brotherhood in Qatar and MI6 and many of
their British journalists or reporters are associated with the MI6.
All we keep hearing is that neo-Nazis represent a small portion of the
Ukrainian government. A small portion? Let’s see, they’ve got the deputy
prime minister; they’ve got the national security council; they’ve got the
defense ministry, ministry of environment, ministry of agriculture and a
prosecutor general. I do not think that that is a small part of the Ukrainian
government; that is some of the most key portfolios in the government.
Press TV: Mr. Maden, let me just interrupt you there because we are quickly
running out of time. As lines are being drawn out right now, how far do you
see things escalating? Do you think Russia is in this to basically take Crimea
out of Ukraine? Or is there a bigger picture here where the plan is to remove
the government in Kiev, bring back Yanukovych?
Madsen: I think Russia has got a two-pronged strategy. Crimea was not part
of historical Ukraine and was given by [Nikita] Khrushchev, the Soviet leader,
to Ukraine in 1954. It was part of Russia for many centuries before that. And
I think, also, Russia says, ‘Do you want to negotiate? Well, then let’s
negotiate with a legitimate democratically-elected president: Yanukovych.’
Now, Germany has decided to send [Organization for Security and
Cooperation in Europe] OSCE observers into Ukraine, but I would note that
Victoria Nuland, the foul-mouthed dirty potty-mouthed Assistant US
Secretary of State for Europe is now in Vienna briefing the OSCE before they
go to Ukraine. So, we’re going to have a very jaundiced person in the person
of Victoria Nuland, going to these muddy waters with these OSCE observers
or negotiators.
