Early Winter Fresh Air Loots

It's cold outside, but not ice-cold.
Rain-pools still come naked,
As they are, attitudes don't matter in winter.
It's not the process,
It's the way you take it.

Fake snowflakes that flurry, flee and fall.
Unfrozen lake's still home to fresh-air loots
That drag their coloured crayons along the shore,
Sands crushing hard and fine
Under winter boots.
