Doha goals gathering of all leaders in sport forum

Mr.Richard Attias, Executive Producer, Doha GOALS
Mr. Faisal Mubarak Al Thani, Executive Director, Doha GOALS

Dear Messrs.,

Thank you very much indeed for your kind and valuable invitation to attend the Doha GOALS Forum, December 9-11, 2013.

I am very pleased and honored to be on your list of invited policymakers and government officials, heads of business, athletes, NGOs and students to build a roadmap for addressing social challenges through sport.

Unfortunately, due to the total lack of financing, sponsorship and recognition of Rugby League in Russia
by the Russian Ministry of Sport I would not be able to attend your Forum this year.

I wish you and all participants all the best in this important initiative.

Sincerely yours in Sports,

Edgard A. Taturyan
President
Russian Association of Rugby League Clubs

Dear Mr. Taturyan,

We are delighted to invite you to attend the second annual edition of the Doha GOALS (Gathering of All Leaders in Sport) Forum, to be held in Doha, Qatar from December 9-11, 2013.

The Doha GOALS initiative, from the Aspire Zone Foundation and Richard Attias & Associates, will bring together a community of policymakers and government officials, heads of business, athletes, NGOs and students to build a roadmap for addressing social challenges through sport. Rather than acting as a conference - where ideas are traded but rarely enacted - Doha GOALS is an initiative with the express intent of empowering stakeholders to create a roadmap for social improvement through sport, and launch cross-border initiatives.

The second edition will bring together more than 120 speakers and 1,500 participants, athletes, experts, CEOs, federations, opinion leaders and media. In addition, the Forum will again host 400 students from high school and university, selected by their academic institutions as having leadership potential and active in sports, to participate fully in the discussions. This year, for the first time, the Forum will feature a Ministers of Sport Summit, focusing on the promotion of fairness and equality in sports. The theme will be Integrity in Sport. Agenda items and commitments from the Summit will be added to outcomes from the Forum's taskforces to create a combined final Doha GOALS/Ministers of Sport Agenda.

Three initiatives were chosen from the many ideas put forward by participants at last year's Forum; feasibility studies have been carried out and they are moving into the implementation phase - a direct outcome from last year.

Registration is now open for this important initiative. Click here and enter the access code DG1303. If you have any questions, our team can be reached at dohagoals@richardattiasassociates.com.

You can receive updates as well as connect with other participants via the Doha GOALS app, which can be can downloaded here.

We truly hope you can join us for this important initiative.

Best Regards,
