Morning In The Forest

Tender rays have brought the light,
Morning sun has changed the night,
Forest was so dark and quiet,
Now became so bright and riot.

Birds woke up and restless bees,
Flowers, mushrooms and the trees,
Silver fishes in the lake,
Grayish rabbit and a snake.

Butterflies have filled the air,
Pushing leafs crawled out a bear,
From a bush that’s growing near.
Just walked out a young deer.

Moved his head to left to right,
Trying to get things into sight,
Gracefully bending his knees,
Started walking to the trees.

Colors, colors, sparkling colors,
He can stare at them for hours,
Bright blue sky with not a cloud,
Forest entered a new sound.

Suddenly all got so quiet,
No more sounds no more riot,
Deer had move his brown ear,
Maybe sound came from near?

Thunder stroke, and hit the tree,
Deer had jumped and then broke free,
Heart is beating hard and fast,
Feels as it will break his chest.

Thunder strikes like before rain,
He’s knocked down, leg’s in pain,
Jumps again and starts to run,
But the leg is getting numb.

Falling down, hard to breathe,
Kicking air, kicking leaves,
A blood bubble comes from nose,
From far-off looks like a rose.

Pain is covering his eyes,
There’s no fear, just surprise,
His convulsing body moves,
Like it’s eaten by the wolves.

Crushing sound reached the place,
Deer has tried to turn its face.
Two-legged creatures walking slow,
Taking time and staying low.

Thunder, fire and then light,
Pain which fast turns into night,
Dying, jerking, agonizing,
Life is leaving, death is rising.

Then the heart stops, not a pound,
With his last breath there’s a sound,
Laughter, hunters running fast,
Arguing who is the best.

Shaking heads, they’re feeling proud,
Laughing again and speaking loud.
Taking pictures with dead deer,
A few more with all the gear.

In a short time they are done,
Time to go, they had their fun,
Very soon they walk away,
Saying it was a great day.
