Wildflowers

                To Dickinson and Tsvetaeva

Two flowers bloomed in the wild
Two flowers fled
One chose -  the impervious wood -
The other –  the field -

The woods are protective for one
You sleep like in dorm -
The other is lashed in the field
By lightnings and storm -

In pines you can easily hide
No-one see you gasp  -
While living in steppe outside
You challenge the gust -

The Violet  dreamed in the woods
In shades of a crown -
The Daisy that stood in the field
Saw the colors of dawn -

Two flowers lived in the wild
Enduring the pain
And crazily stretched for the sun
In days when it rained -

The Violet  furtively lived
No-one saw it bloom -
The Daisy that bravely stood
Was crushed by a doom …
