Irene Daye

Irene Daye – a memorable and leading American jazz female performer.
She exuded style and talent, with “Drum Boogie” becoming hit, stormer.
Irene possessed a beautiful, softly sounded voice, capable of swinging.
She had enjoyed performing and generously shared her gift of singing.

Daye manifested an ability, skill, talent and intuition for improvisation.
With sense of phrasing, timing, rhythm, she was a source of inspiration.
Irene succeeded performing with bands of Krupa, Spivak and Murphy.
If there was a professional vocal contest, she easily could win a trophy.

Irene had never stopped, kept moving forward, would hone or enhance.
She had fulfilled potentials, dreams taking upon an opportunity, chance.
Daye had achieved respect, appreciation, praise, recognition or acclaim.
She gained a proper place in jazz history, culture, without legacy, fame.

January 17th – birthday of Irene Daye, who’s charming, feminine, sweet.
She was a fine vocalist able to overcome life’s challenges and supersede.
Daye was distinguished by her persistence, passion, drive, determination.
At work she was inventive, while at home she liked tradition, old-fashion.
