Fernandel

May 8th – Fernandel’s birthday.  In 2013 there is 110 years since he was born.
 

Fernand Joseph Desire Contandin or Fernandel – a talented singer, actor and comedian
Who gained his fame in operettas, music hall, vaudeville and got attention of the media.
He had directed, co-produced films although having expanded his potentials or abilities.
Fernandel had exuded great sense of humor, artistic skills, determination and versatility.
 
Contandin/Fernandel concurrently was able to be funny and serious, comic and dramatic.
A multi-talented persona portrayed characters who’s silly, resourceful, eccentric, irratic.
In real life he had appeared shy yet optimistic, vibrant and creative with a big smile/grin.
Fernandel – a person who was affable, driven, persistent, brave, knowing how to win.
 
He had been born with an extraordinary comic gift or potential, which he evoked as child.
Fernandel manifested body language, mimics, behavior that had been funny, witty, wild.
He had deserved, gained stardom, fame in France, Europe, America and the entire world.
In 1922 he had become a true professional, allowing his pre-determined talents to unfold.
 
May 8th – birthday of Mr. Fernandel, we think of him with joy, warmth, laughter, smile.
On big screen and in his daily life he had conveyed himself as simple man with style.
The films he starred in major/ supportive roles remain as timeless, memorable, classic.
His legacy reminds us that Fernandel as an actor/somger and a person was fantastic
