There is an end to everything
All things come to an end,
But you - the air I’m breathing in.
How can I take you as a friend?..
My feelings burn my soul away.
My heart won’t find its rest.
I feel myself like crippled prey.
To take you as a friend it is a test!
I hear your steps, I see your smile,
I hear your voice - my face in blush.
I smell your scent from hundred miles!
You as friend? When I’m so crushed?..
I’ll climb a highest mountain peak!
I’ll dive in deepest, darkest sea!
I pray, I beg you, never speak
Of you as only friend to me…
Friend?
