It was so miraculous, like magic light,
Your smile and chat on a starry night,
Those long hours on a cool, lonely harbor
When you said so sincerely “Te amo”,
When I sent you love letters by regular mail,
It seemed like our ship of love is afloat and sails
And can weather the storm. I thought you’d stay
In my life for good. But one gloomy day
Some bizarre reasons got in the way
Of a happy life. And those days are gone,
But I know for sure: you are second to none,
Even though you are myriads of miles away,
In this heart of mine you will always stay.
