Nat King Cole
Born as Nathaniel Adams Coles and well known as Nat King Cole
Since childhood knew what he aspired, he had his dream or goal.
Nat learned to play an organ from his mother at the age of four.
Practicing music, he moved forward to open his profession’s door.
Nat’s spectrum ranged from Bach, Rachmaninoff to gospel, jazz.
His talent, versatility had surfaced and expanded to a giant size
While studying classical piano Cole fell in love with jazz forever.
He played, sang, led a band having succeeded in each endeavor.
Cole had developed a music band including a guitar, piano, bass.
He was determined to fulfill potential and disregarded any fuss.
Nat was a black performer-pioneer on radio, TV to be acclaimed.
He advocated for his people, around the world becoming famed.
Cole was phenomenal playing piano to sophistication or perfection.
His husky, deep voice, clear diction earned him worldwide attention.
Nat had considered himself a pop balladeer and a “cool” jazz singer.
He always had evolved, progressed as opposing to stagnate or linger.
Nat manifested dignity, kindness, sincerity, courage, compassion.
By helping and making people happy he experienced satisfaction.
Today, on March 17th, we celebrate the birthday of Nat King Cole.
He was a timeless legend who fulfilled his human and artistic role.
