Beauty of the Beast
I crossed a thousand miles to hear the silence,
I dreamed the place where I could face my peace,
I dreamed the night when I could see my guide star.
I tried to find those dying tears of love, –
I looked into my heart of stone and violence,
I saw no cry, but only pain and scars, -
I locked these doors for me, my hope and others.
I tried to see my face without a mask, –
I looked into my soul with no perception,
I saw no man but ashes and the dust, –
I have become the beast I've been afraid of.
'n the here and now I wait for my true kiss, –
I crossed a thousand miles to find my lost rose,
I dreamed of thee, the comfort for my grieves,
I dreamed the petal which I held in my paws...
