Piano concert -

                (Triptych)
            TRANSLATION FROM RUSSIAN
             (ФОРТЕПИАННЫЙ  КОНЦЕРТ)

“Wandered over the keys your fingers”. (M.Dubaev).
-1-                .
On the keys were silently lied the fingers.
And  hall was stick-stilled ...While the  conductor
Sent his fierce gaze upon a flock of sharp flageolets…
Here sounded timid "mi" all brooding clarinets ...
And, in obedience to the silence, stirred gently fingers:
They seemed to be in a drunken waltz spinning,
                heart gratify to me ...
/ And Happiness is gaining strength,
stringing sound to the sounds ...
Came running – scamper about  the hands ...
 Streaming misuderstandig rain./
And something in the moon budged in moon…
She froze, heeded me ...Not – alas – understanding ... /
But I was quite pleased with them ...
All lit up in its fire ...
-2-
Fingers on the keys played pranks
as girlish fingers at the tambour…
Spinning a thread and burn pattern –
                leading intimate conversation ...
Quivering string structure under dress-coat  roof.
Without shame It changes the mood and even our spirits ...
It beckoned and caressed ...
And suddenly, in a moment  get angry,
By wall of bass grin  was rising in rush vaults ...
Then from there – flew from  the skies down in the piano ... Again ...
Soloist listened ...
In that  song piano poured out his sorrow..
And yet it was happiness!
One for the entire concert hall ...
It is kept in the soft power of the orchestra,
soloist and piano ...
-3-
On the keys – In a mad dance –
Are senselessly frisking fingers!
And waiting for just come in running time –
                to enter into a fistfight!
But the conductor waved – "End!" –
And the "zebra" lay down as lonely strip
                between the strings and me.
And in the silence flashed Happiness ...
This is so short ... Only a moment ...
While a desired shout of applause is heaped up –
                as the  butcher!...
He squeezed, crushed and cut the flesh
and disassembled it into pieces ...
And it was also Happiness,
Though I long ago got used to it ..
