Robert Mitchum

August 6th – Robert Mitchum’s birthday.  In 2012 there 95 years since he was born.


Robert Mitchum was one of Hollywood legends of the Golden Age.
Although he favored films, he tried himself on television and stage.
Mitchum possessed talent in acting, composing, singing and writing.
A life filled with success, fame, legacy, excitement he’d been riding.

Robert had given an illusion or impression of indifference on screen.
Yet could express emotions in a form of frown, still face, smile, grin.
He had become an icon of film noir genre, been liked by women, men.
Mitchum was mischievous at times able to surprise his audience again.

He did a good job in a thriller, romantic comedy, Western and drama.
Mitchum embraced, exhibited, expanded his versatility’s panorama.
He had performed as a commercial voice-over as well as cameo roles.
Robert fulfilled his multi-faceted potential and achieved career goals.
 
Robert’s distinction included masculinity, charisma and singing voice,
Which had contributed to his motion picture or film characters’ choice.
He acted as a leading man and lived his life exuding toughness, force.
A bad guy image on and off screen Mitchum had embodied, endorsed. 

August 6th – birthday of Robert Mitchum, a hero, sex symbol of film noir.
He is remembered as being natural, witty, intelligent, athletic actor - a star.
His legacy was a result of talent, strength, effortless style, determination.
For his role in "Story of G.I." Joe Mitchum received his Oscar nomination.
