You have read many different books,
You have seen many different lands.
You have been courted by the wealthy   
And intelligent fans.

You have flown right up to the stars
On the swings of a dream.
You have been gifted lots of brilliants,   
So you have shone like a sunbeam.

Don’t be lamentable publicity, -
Your inner electricity
Still feeds your eyes, -
They’re full of shine!

Reveals your guise, -
It can surprise!
 
Though yet the buddies of yours
Haven't put you aside.
And now you're not sleeping               
Alone in the night.

Though yet you're still fresh and tender,
Got neither the spots, nor the bends.
But more and more noxious               
Are compliments of your friends.

And you're wearing at parties
Modern expensive dress.
While the same sad reflections               
Begin to oppress.

But this glamorous syrup
Is still sweet for you.
You don't care that their smiles               
Are stuck up with glue!
