The creeping creature
as the driver of the history
moves
and the biped begins to struggle
with the quadruped
who was and will be the same
the riddle of Sphinx
with whom was Oedipus in love
before his birth
what is the history
if not the suicide of Sphinx
with permanent resurrection of her riddle
the creeping creature
the snail
whose shell is the skull
so it is safe
but the snail needs something more
and it sacrifices its “s”
as the lizard – its tail
and the snail becomes the nail
and for the nails are wanted extremities
which stretch seeking nails
as if without it were no cross
and no resurrection.
