Missing A Heart
In life, still I am sophomore
Completely broken, have excelled
A man existed year ago...
No messenger had flown to me
To me, the sun king's legatee
Yet, here came someone I ne'er felt
Who walked an ocean and a lea
In merchant's guise, was Latin tongued
He spoke all true, he spoke for long
About persons he beheld
Collectin' souls of which is fond
There many tricks were in his chests
The best ones, out of east or west
All little wonders rightly spelled
And mystics o'forbidden texts
Oh yes, I failed then to detect
What act he planned to have me cracked
He turned to me, the grinny face
And made his iconic preface:
>> A clime, you can describe yourself
>> Warm summer's end which feels your lungs
>> The soft lights of electric elves
>> Wreck businesses of boulevard thugs
>> The land - like baby - clad in joy
>> In good's distillery served fresh
>> Things made with passion turn in cash
>> Folks vote for it, and none annoyed
>> There magick you may heavy on
>> Won't let you stroll the streets alone
>> Birds will salute you on a fly
>> And tree will speak to you, and stone...
He lilted hours, maybe days
His melody went stranger ways
And I was wondered, I was scared
Amused, bedazzled. Less aware.
I offer you a dream, he meant
I stabbed a hand, signed document
He said, Get rid of sediment
Of eating common rice and bread
He cheated, yes, deal's no recall
In words half voiced or written small
Cause all the benefits I had
Is photograph of promised land
The costs, in contrary, appeared
To be a killer skilled in fear
The choice is simple: nails or cane
Hell hot then, no ibuprofane...
Missin' a heart which was before
In life, still I am sophomore
And every minute I postpone
I long to learn where I went wrong.
