Do you know your lesson good?
My little Afgani girl,
How about your mood?
Dear little princess
In green salwar kamiz
Very soon you'll be called "Mistress",
Not your uncle's niece.
My darling child of a torn land,
I love you, I hope you will
Be happy, whatever happened,
And keep your heart warm, not still.
You shouldn't think, where you can find
Food for your family's members.
We, adults, shouldn't be blind,
We should be good helpers.
My little Afgani girl,
Afganistan's child you are,
Your smile is like a pearl,
And on your head is a green headscarf...
