Lelya and Invaders. 5th Ball of Wool

Lelya staggering along the  destroyed street, she could hardy recognize it. The world she was used to had completely changed.
She searched desperately for her mum but her efforts were in vain, she couldn't find any sign of her.
Panic-stricken people were running all around her. The woman who lived next door was dragging a huge suitcase down the street. As she walked  past Lelya, she  pushed her and said: What are you? Frozen?Run for your life! They will be here at any minute! Fashists !"
Layla just stood, alone, unable to move, completely lost, dazed and confused.
She was no longer a big girl,  she had turned into a helpless little child exposed to a new, hostile and alien world.
Crackling motor-cycle noises and a child's cry made her awake from her stupor. She ran to the street to see what is going on, it was then that she saw fashists for the first time in her life.
To her surprise they were not like she imagined them to be, she had been expecting monsters, but  they turned out to be merely soldiers wearing iron helmets and black boots. They snatched frightened children, punched them, and pushed them together, poking their crying mothers with big, long black guns.
Lelya froze, like a block of stone, motionless,  perplexed and horrified, watching the terrible scene unfold before her. All of the sudden, one of the soldiers, a broad-faced giant of a man, saw her and turning quickly he pointed his rifle at her chest and with a terrifying  smirk on his face walked in her direction. Fear anchored Lelya to the ground, as if being hypnotized she couldn't help looking into his glaring eyes. There was no one to help her.
All at once, something black flashed down at the soldier's face. Lelya couldn't understand what it was and where it came from.
"Aargh!" The soldgier was  howling and twisting around like crazy with the face pressed against his hands.
"Meeeeooow!" - loud sound
awoke her from her trance and seizing the opportunity, she  ran, as hard as she had ever run before, paying no more attention to the world around her. She fled.
Away! Away from this horrible place!
