Sunlight is dim and it carries no warmth
And the trees they sway in the wind
People walk by me in their winter cloaks
And the thunder is rolling in
The blanket of leaves it covers the street
Colored in gold and maroon
And the weather like this is perfect for me
To hole up at home with a book
I'll pour me a mug of my favorite tea
And a spoonfull of jam with it
And then just enjoy the scenery
And have some vanilla biscuits
The autumn, it seems, is on it's last legs
And soon it will be December
Tea parties and reading is all we have left
That and discussions of weather.
We ll pull through
