When Time Stretches

When time stretches,
and all animals’re silent,
My melancholy wrenches
and drives me violent...
Only when you hear,
it can disappear...

A little bird perches,
a lizard brisks about,
But a jackal emerges,
protrudes its shady snout,
He would gnaw and leer
at your pets, so dear...

You gently embrace
and stroke me so mildly,
Each time I retrace,
dull moments jerk sprightly,
If you feel my fear,
can you shield from its spear?

You kiss and caress,
release me, so lively,
But departures distress,
in a rush they deprive me
Of you... when you’re near
our love spells this sphere...
