What is a worthy goal? I ask again.
When I've spent eighty years on this earth
And then look back and try to understand
Was my time wasted - all this time from birth
To death? Have I been striving to achieve
Something that brought not suffering or pain
But goodness to myself and those around?
I need to know my life was not in vain.
What is a worthy goal?
