Fear

You come to me in every dream –
I know your muffled steps.
Your hissing voice is always grim,
It speaks of my mistakes.
You look at me with sparkling eyes
Through dizzy, trembling space.
I feel as covered up with ice
That cools my burning face.
I breathe your fishy foul smell
As you approach my skin.
Your hands with rush, I know them well,
They tease me. It begins.
This night I’m smothering again,
Embraced by solid stone.
It’s you who gives me so much pain –
My fear of being alone.
