In the dark sky just that shining stars’ lace
Enlightens with a hope this lonely night;
And only sweet remembrance of your face
Can be for me the sweet ray of delight.
Delicious sweetness overfills my soul
At moments when I dream of you and me:
You are the other half to make me whole,
And at your place no other man can be.
How much time do we need to understand
God’s blessing that He has prepared for us?
Our destiny’s to go hand in hand,
But we need to break down the wall of glass.
Grim bitterness between us does exist,
And there seems to be no hope this night;
But I believe – I know – I insist –
Some morning our love will show new light!
