The Mystery Of Love
Its spirit’s hidden in the very breathing,
It’s every creature’s vivifying air,
The scent of love is challenging and teasing;
How often do we cry or laugh when, wholly,
We’re in its hot embracement, so breathtaking,
And feel in our hearts its sweet and holy
Light, all-pervading, all hard barriers breaking;
The mystery of love is our fuel,
It feeds us with its glow when we need it;
One may reveal in it a priceless jewel
When he does hear its voice and does proceed it;
Love’s kiss of blessing lies on every fair,
The sound of its name’s a holy sound;
The mystery of love is everywhere,
For love’s the only thing – in and around.
