When booking the appointment
with the therapist
for bones and joints,
whose hands divine
the nexus of unruly pain,
then banish it,
they told me he
was on his honeymoon;
but I shall be the first
to benefit, on his return,
from hands still warmed
by nights of love,
their skills enhanced
by nuptial tenderness:
craving, like a spinster
wedding guest, mementoes
of the feast...
