Mikhail Lermontov - Some words that I know
Might seem trifling, or dim,
But deeply they move
My soulful within.
How fully they sound
With the wildest of powers !
They cry tears of parting,
They tremble like lovers.
Amid the world’s bustle,
Wherever I go,
I’ll spot these confessions,
These words I will know;
And cutting the prayer,
I’ll rush to their sound,
And fleeing the battle,
For them I’ll be bound;
They breathe with a promise,
With life they abound,
They’re open to many, -
Yet one can expound.
