Who knew

You always thought me to be quiet
A wind-wise floating dragonfly
Inside of me there's midnight fury
That spreads flames across the sky

I was kindly unspoken
You thought ignorance is bliss
Now,as I whisper in your ear
I mark my acute words with teeth

I spit out my frustration
Like the poison's spat by snake
As from your jaw and down your neck
My sharpened nails I slowly rake

You smirk, so smug, and pull me closer
And bend down for a kiss
I slap you hard across your face
Oh look, your smile just went amiss

Just yesterday I let you trash my heart
And stomp on it, and almost kill me
Today I thrive on turning tables
Oh my! Who knew I had it in me
