A Rainy Day

I watch the sparkling raindrops
Lay wet kisses on the ground
As it's drinking, so greedily, in
Their weight and smell, and sound

It savours every little moment
Of the precious rare treat
Like it has never once before
Tasted anything so sweet

The clouds float and swirl, and bow
As, welcoming the guests, they twist
That pass on by and melt away
Letting out white breaths of mist

The lightning flash-dances
On the Heaven's darkening floor
She's been imprisoned for so long
Now she waltzes out the door

She picks the pace of movements up
To enigmatic graceful fray
And makes the sky light up with fire
Of this passionate display

I smile at my semi-there reflection
In the window, and the rain
As it dances with the lightning
Unbound and free, without refrain
