Mother s Son Irish folk parody

My mother had always forgotten her purse,
And I didn't know - what would be worse.
Years went by, and I wasn't that kid,
She had forgotten, and so then I did.

My mother had always been late for the mess,
I tried to speed up her, but not to the less
Of my time I came to the limit of time -
This habit bacame just a habit of mine.

My mother had always repeated all twice,
Neighbours considered it fasioned and nice,
When I'd to marry I said surely "Yes"
As for me - husband, and so for my Jess.

My mother had always relied upon God,
Yet there're troubles today that I've got.
'I could be dandy and clothe in fur,
If I wouldn't be perfectly copy of her.
