See you later this life
‘Your soul is a rose but the case is too hard.’
Roses may seem alive even when they are dead –
I don’t know what to do with this pain in my heart.
You’ve been an angel of light, foul play was not yours.
At the times of King Arthur you could be his knight.
Silver sheath, heavy sword, golden locks, golden spurs,
Sweet and elegant songs with the words meant to bite.
‘See you later this life’ echoed deep in my ears...
Real friends tend to leave when you need them the most.
You find roses in ice where they solemnly freeze
And I wonder if flowers can turn gloomy ghosts.
‘See you later this life’ was the catchphrase around.
‘How can you stand my packing and look ever so calm?’
I am a rose, but my feelings are strong and profound
I have thorns, and no memory forces me to disarm.
Lovers come, lovers go, life has fastened its pace
But no lover can pierce your heart to the core.
Real friends are like roses you keep cut in the vase
And the sudden departure makes you treasure them more.
